OsmoLax uses orally taken fluids to hydrate and soften the stool, which leads to a more normal pattern and comfortable bowel movements.
Add OsmoLax powder to any beverage (hot or cold), such as water, juice, soft drinks, coffee or tea. Stir until dissolved an then drink.

The use of laxatives may cause loose stools or diarrhoea. If this occurs stop taking OsmoLax until it clears. The use of laxatives has also been associated with stomach ache or rumbles and bloating. If you feel weak, breathless, very thirsty with a headache, have rectal bleeding or get puffy ankles, stop taking OsmoLax and talk to your healthcare professional. If you are pregnant or breastfeeding, check with your healthcare professional. OsmoLax should be taken 2 hours before or after other medication. Do not take OsmoLax if you have an intestinal obstruction, perforated gut wall, severe ulcerative colitis, Crohn's disease, toxic megacolon or kidney damage. Do not take OsmoLax if you are allergic to macrogol (polyethylene glycol). If symptoms persist seek medical advice.
