Homeopathic Combination Medications
But what exactly are homeopathic combination medications? In classical homeopathy, a single medication is prescribed based on the patient’s physical and mental symptoms. At Heel Professional, they approach homeopathy in a new way. Their combination medications are made up of several different natural substances, mostly homeopathically prepared. These have been carefully chosen and blended to stimulate various biological functions. They are then used, just like conventional medications are, to treat one particular condition like the common cold or dizziness.
History of Heel Professional
"Plants derive their healing power from light". This simple statement, expressed in the Latin words "Herba est ex luce" and turned into the acronym Heel, is the starting point of what we mean with "healthcare designed by nature". Coined more than 70 years ago by our founding father, the name Heel now stands for a successful global company grounded in a strong history and with a clear vision for the future.
Pioneering a new approach to natural healing
Heel Professional was established by the German physician Dr. Hans-Heinrich Reckeweg (1905-1985) in Berlin/Germany in 1936. Immediately after completing his education at the renowned Charité Clinic he founded his own medical practice in 1932. Reckeweg was also a talented homeopath who recognized the need for effective and easy-to-use natural-based medicines to treat specific illnesses. Challenging many of the tenets of classical homeopathy, he combined homeopathic medications in new ways and introduced a comprehensive therapeutic system called Homotoxicology. Homotoxicology and homeopathic combination medications have formed our approach to healing as intended by nature ever since.
Homeopathy for the 21st century
Based on these innovations, we became the company that moved homeopathy into the 21st century. Our success was borne out by steady growth and global expansion. After the Second World War, the company re- located to Southern Germany. It eventually moved to its present location at Baden-Baden in 1963, where the central production plant and Headquarters are also located. In 1977, Heel became part of the DELTON AG, continuing its international growth at an exponential rate. The company presently has 10 international subsidiaries.
